# About BZAR

BZAR is the platform for community commerce in the DMV — Washington DC,
Maryland, and Virginia. It brings the three sides of local commerce together
in one place: community members who want to discover events and book trusted
local vendors, vendors who sell products and services and run their business,
and organizers who put on the markets, bazaars, and pop-up events where those
communities meet.

## What BZAR does

- **Events and ticketing** — organizers create and publish events, sell free
and paid tickets with QR-code entry, and check in attendees on event day.
- **Vendor booth applications** — vendors apply to events, organizers review
and approve, and approved vendors appear in the event's public directory.
- **Vendor storefronts and bookings** — every vendor gets a public storefront
where community members can browse offerings and start a booking inquiry.
- **Business tools for vendors** — customer management, invoices, contracts,
payments, and messaging, all in one dashboard.
- **Payments** — all money movement runs through Stripe Connect; organizers
  and vendors are paid directly.

## Where we operate
