# Refunds (/help/organizers/money/refunds)



**In short:** the money goes back to the person who paid, and comes out of what you were paid for it.

## When you reject a paid vendor [#when-you-reject-a-paid-vendor]

The refund is automatic. What comes back depends on when they paid:

| They paid                                          | What they get back                                                              |
| -------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| When they applied (**Charge at application**)      | The booth price and bzar's fee. With **Absorb all fees**, the full booth price. |
| Nothing yet (**Charge at approval**, not approved) | Nothing to refund: their card wasn't charged.                                   |
| After you approved them, then you reject them      | The booth price and bzar's fee, same as above.                                  |

An application fee is never refunded: you keep it. Card processing isn't refunded either.

Extra booths they paid for are refunded the same way.

bzar gives back its 3.9% fee on the booth, so refunding it doesn't cost you. You're only out card processing when your fee structure has you paying it.

## When you refund a ticket [#when-you-refund-a-ticket]

     and enter the amount.

The buyer gets the money back, and you give back what you were paid for that ticket. Stripe never returns its card fee, so bzar only returns what's left of its 3% after that fee. On most tickets, that's nothing.

## Common questions

### Is the application fee refunded?

No. You keep it, even when you reject the vendor.

### Does bzar give back its fee?

On booth refunds, yes. On tickets, only the part of its 3% that's left after Stripe's card fee, which Stripe never returns. On most tickets that's nothing.

### Can I give a partial ticket refund?

Yes. Turn on **Partial refund** in the refund window and enter the amount.
