# Change a role or remove someone (/help/organizers/team/change-or-remove)

    Pick a new role in the

     column. It saves right away.

    To take away their access, click

     again to confirm.

## Common questions

### Do they lose access right away?

Yes. Removing someone signs them out of your organization at once.

### Can I bring someone back?

Yes. Invite them again. Past members are on the **History** tab.

### Why can't I change the owner?

The owner's role can't be changed or removed. The owner can use **Transfer ownership** in Settings.
