# Promo codes (/help/organizers/tickets/promo-codes)



**What you'll get:** a discount code you can share, like EARLY10.

    Open your event and go to the 

    **Promos**

     tab. Click 

    **Add Promo Code**

    Type the code, choose a 

    **Discount Type**

     and enter the discount.

    Add limits if you want them, then click 

    **Create**

**You're done when** the code shows on the Promos tab with its discount and how many times it's been used.


## Common questions

### What does a code discount?

Tickets and store items at checkout. Vendors can also enter an event code when they apply, for their main booth.

### Can I limit how often it's used?

Yes. Set **Max Uses**, a **Min Order ($)**, and **Valid From** and **Valid Until** dates.

### Percent or dollars?

Either. Pick **Percentage (%)** or **Fixed Amount ($)** under **Discount Type**.
