# Build your venue map (/help/organizers/venue-map)

**What you'll get:** a map of your venue with every booth on it. Vendors see which spot is theirs, and visitors use it on your event page to find vendors.

Each guide below is one short job with a clip. Do them in order the first time.

## Common questions

### Do I need a map?

No, but it helps. Without one, vendors still apply for a space type and you place them yourself. With one, everyone can see where each booth is.

### Do I need a floor plan?

No. You can start with a blank grid or a satellite view of the venue.

### Can I build the map on my phone?

The map editor needs a bigger screen, like a laptop or a tablet held sideways. Visitors can view the finished map on any phone.
