# Assign vendors to booths (/help/organizers/venue-map/assign-vendors)



**What you'll get:** every approved vendor in a booth.

**Before you start:** only approved vendors can be assigned. See [vendor applications](/help/organizers/vendor-applications).

**You're done when** the booth is striped and its status says **Assigned**.


## Common questions

### Can I pick the booth on the map while I review an application?

Yes. Click **Assign Booth** or **Change booth**, then **View Venue Map**, and click an open booth. It fills in the booth picker. Click **Assign booth** to save.

### What do the map's statuses mean?

**Available** booths are open. **Reserved** booths are held, usually while a vendor finishes paying. **Assigned** booths are striped and have a vendor.

### The vendor already has a booth.

bzar asks whether to **Reassign to new booth** or **Add as additional booth**.

### How do I take a vendor out of a booth?

Click the booth and choose **Unassign Vendor**. You can refund them or not.

### Can vendors pick their own spot?

Yes. In your event's application settings, under **How do vendors get booths?**, choose **I review, vendors pick their spot** or **First come, first served**. Vendors then pay when they apply.
