Keep public replies calm and short, never argue, and take details off the page. Fix what you can, and learn from patterns across reviews.

Good practice

Ask honestly, and keep it fair.

  • Ask every client, not only the ones you expect to be happy. Don't select who you ask.
  • Don't offer discounts or gifts in exchange for a positive review. Check the rules of the platform where you collect reviews.
  • Make it one click: send the direct link, or a QR code at your booth.
  • Send the request soon after the event, when the experience is fresh.
  • Thank people who reply, and use their feedback to improve your next job.
In bzar

Collect recommendations without chasing.

  • Clients can recommend you, and your storefront shows the share who recommend you once there are enough.
  • Keep each client and their messages together in one client list.
Questions

Common questions.

How do I ask clients for a review?

Send a short thank-you soon after the event, mention one specific thing you enjoyed, and include a direct link to where you want the review. Keep it friendly and optional, and send at most one reminder.

When is the best time to ask for a review?

Soon after the event, while the experience is fresh. For products, wait until the customer has had time to use them.

Should I offer a discount for a review?

No. Rewarding reviews can break the rules of many review sites and makes them less trustworthy. Ask honestly, and thank people for their time instead.

How do I reply to a negative review?

Stay calm, thank the person, apologize for what went wrong, and invite them to contact you directly. Don't argue or share private details in public. Fix what you can.

Where should I ask clients to leave reviews?

Pick the one or two places your future clients look, such as your Google profile, Instagram or your storefront, and link to them directly so it takes one click.
