Night market

A night market is an outdoor or covered market held in the evening, usually with food vendors, crafts, drinks and live entertainment. It draws people after work and on weekends. Lighting, power, food permits, crowd safety and noise rules are the main planning concerns for organizers.

Explained

About night market.

Also called: evening market, twilight market, night bazaar.

Food usually leads the draw, so expect more power needs, health permits and fire rules than at a daytime craft fair.

Plan lighting for every vendor spot and walkway, plus parking, restrooms and trash. Cities may have rules on noise and closing times.

Many night markets are tied to cultural celebrations or seasons. They can run once or on a recurring evening.
