Juried craft show

A juried craft show selects its vendors through a review panel, called a jury, that scores applicants' work, usually from photos of products and a booth. Only accepted artists get a space. Juried shows tend to have higher quality, fewer duplicates and an application and jury fee.

About juried craft show.

Also called: juried show, juried craft fair, juried art fair, juried market.

Applicants submit images of their work and often a booth shot, an artist statement and a fee. Jurors score blind or by criteria such as originality, craftsmanship and presentation.

Juried shows can also limit categories so two similar vendors do not compete. Rejection is common, and many shows publish no scores.

Non-juried shows accept most applicants on a first-come basis. Vendors usually start with those and work toward juried ones.
