Jury fee

A jury fee is the fee an applicant pays for a show's panel to review their work. It is charged whether or not you are accepted and is usually not refundable. It is separate from the booth fee you pay only if accepted, and it covers the cost of running the review.

About jury fee.

Also called: jurying fee, application jury fee, review fee.

Fees pay for jurors' time, software or printing. Organizers set them to discourage casual applications.

Vendors apply to several shows at once, so jury fees add up. Check the booth fee, the acceptance rate and past attendance before paying.

Read whether the fee is refundable if the show is canceled. A good organizer says so in the application.
