Should a craft fair charge admission?

Most community craft fairs are free to enter and earn from booth fees, because bigger crowds help vendors sell. Charging admission makes sense for well-known, juried or holiday fairs where shoppers expect it, or to cover a costly venue. Free tickets still give you a headcount without a charge.
