Event sales attribution
Review which Square and Shopify sales count toward each BZAR event, fix matches, and see what the organizer sees.
Some features roll out gradually. If you do not see this section in your dashboard, it is not enabled for your account yet.
When your Square or Shopify account is connected, BZAR matches your sales to the BZAR events you sell at. This gives you and the event organizer an accurate picture of your sales at each event. You review and correct these matches on the event's attribution page.
To open it, go to Analytics, find the event under Recent BZAR events, and click it. You need an approved application for that event. See event applications.
Attribution states
Each transaction has one state:
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Auto-attributed | BZAR matched the sale to this event automatically. |
| Manually attributed | You attributed the sale to this event yourself. |
| Excluded by vendor | You removed the sale from this event. It does not count toward the event total. |
| Ambiguous (multi-match) | The sale could belong to more than one event. You decide where it goes. |
| No event match | BZAR found no event for this sale. |
| Pending classification | The sale is new and not yet classified. |
The event total counts auto-attributed and manually attributed sales only. Rows you set yourself show a vendor-set badge.
How to correct a match
- Find the transaction in the list.
- Click Attribute to add it, or Exclude to remove it.
Bulk actions
- Claim ambiguous transactions for this event — attributes all ambiguous sales from the event window to this event in one step.
- Disable attribution for this event — excludes every attributed transaction. A confirmation dialog shows how many transactions this affects.
Good to know
- When you open the attribution page, BZAR records your review. The organizer sees a "Reviewed by vendor" stamp with the date. This tells the organizer that the numbers reflect your review.
