Scheduling
Session types and availability
Create the meetings customers can book, and set the weekly hours and date overrides that control your open slots.
Some features roll out gradually. If you do not see this section in your dashboard, it is not enabled for your account yet.
A session type is a meeting that customers can book on your booking page — for example, a 30-minute intro call. You manage session types and your availability on the Scheduling page in your dashboard.
How to create a session type
- Open Scheduling in your dashboard.
- Click Add session type.
- Enter a name. A description is optional.
- Set the duration in minutes and an optional price. A session type with no price is free to book.
- Optionally add a buffer before and after the meeting, in minutes. Buffers keep slots from touching other meetings.
- Pick a location type: in person, phone, or video. Add location details, such as an address or a video link.
- Set the minimum notice in minutes and the maximum advance in days. These limit how soon and how far out customers can book.
- Click Create.
To edit a session type, click its card and change the fields. Turn off the Active switch to hide it from your booking page, or click Archive to retire it.
Edits to a session type do not change meetings that are already booked. Each booked meeting keeps the name, price, and location from the time of booking.
How to set your weekly availability
- On the Scheduling page, find the Availability section.
- For each day of the week, add one or more time windows with a start and end time.
- Remove a window to close that part of the day.
- Save your changes.
Your booking page only offers slots inside these windows.
How to add a date override
Use date overrides to block specific dates, such as holidays, or to set custom hours for one day.
- In Date overrides, pick a date.
- Keep Block entire day on to close the date. Turn it off to set custom start and end times instead.
- Click Add override.
Delete an override to return that date to your normal weekly hours.
Good to know
- Inactive session types do not appear on your booking page, but their booked meetings stay on your schedule.
- A Smart File can include one of your session types as a scheduling step.
