Where the sources are unclear.
- The Special Events Guidelines (revised 06/16/25) apply to events on Augusta property and describe a rental contract and approval process rather than a separately named event permit; no page for events on private property or for tent permits was found. The guidelines say the Special Events Office can waive the insurance requirement for certain events with attendance of 200 or less or lasting 2 hours or less. Ask the Special Events Office at 706-821-1754.
- The Regulatory Fee Schedule is dated March 24, 2014 on its face and the Single Day Event Application is an online form that did not display its terms; confirm the current amounts with the Business License office.
- Georgia's FS-32 page and the Department's sales tax overview do not mention event promoters, so no promoter sales tax duty is listed. The temporary food rule's organizer duty (vendor list to the Health Authority) is covered in the food entry.
- The Department of Revenue registration and FS-32 pages read do not state a fee.
- Ask the Georgia Secretary of State or your city or county about local business licenses; no official page stating the licensing split could be read.
