The Inbox

Read and answer all your client conversations from one place in your dashboard.

Some features roll out gradually. If you do not see this section in your dashboard, it is not enabled for your account yet.

Where to find it: Inbox (/dashboard/inbox).

The Inbox collects all your client conversations in one place. Messages from Gmail, Instagram, your storefront, and bzar arrive in a single list, sorted by the most recent activity.

How to find a conversation

  1. Open Inbox.
  2. Use the search box to find a conversation by client name.
  3. Use the filters to narrow the list. Depending on your account, you see a source filter (show one channel, for example Email or Instagram) or status filters and tags.

Each conversation belongs to one client. Open the client record to see the full history. See your client list.

How to reply

  1. Open a conversation to read the thread. An unread thread is marked read automatically when you open it.
  2. Type your reply and send it.

To reply by email, two conditions must be true:

When both conditions are true, an email composer appears in the thread. The subject line defaults to "Re:" plus the subject of the last inbound email. If Gmail is not connected, or the connection expired, a banner at the top of the Inbox prompts you to connect or reconnect.

Messages from your storefront

When a customer writes to you from your storefront without picking a package, it arrives as a plain message tagged From your storefront. Reply in the thread, or use Send a booking to offer them a booking yourself. A customer who books a package shows up as a request instead, with its own card in the thread and a booking in Bookings.

New senders

Messages from unknown senders do not enter your main conversation list. They go to the New senders view. There you can add a sender as a client, dismiss them, or mark the message as spam. See triaging new senders.

Good to know

  • Written feedback from recommendation requests also arrives in the Inbox, so you can reply to it like any other message.
  • Baz can draft replies for conversations in your Inbox. Nothing sends without your approval. See what Baz does.
