Packages vs. products
Packages are what customers book from you. Products are physical items you sell, shown on your storefront and at events.
Your storefront can show two kinds of things: packages, which customers book from you, and products, which are physical goods you sell.
Where to find them: Storefront → Packages (/dashboard/storefront/packages) and Storefront → Products (/dashboard/storefront/products).
Packages
Use a package for work you do for a customer, such as photography, catering, or design. Packages are available when customers can book you for private events. Each package has:
- A name and description.
- Your answer to How do you price this package?: One price (with optional extras for more hours or guests), Per person, Per hour, or It depends on the event.
- Your answer to Do you approve each booking? (for a set price): Yes, I review each request or No, confirm automatically. Together the two answers decide the button customers see: Book now, Request to book, or Get a quote. See how bookings work.
- Its own booking link you can share anywhere.
- Optional minimums (guests, total, hours), advance notice, a deposit policy, images, add-ons, an inquiry form, and a contract.
If you offer several kinds of service, you can group packages under a Service name.
Customers see your packages only after your payouts are connected. See getting paid.
Products
Use a product for a physical item. Products show on your storefront, where customers can open a product and send you a question about it. Customers can't check out products online from your storefront. To sell at events, import your products into your Go Live menu, or build a pre-order menu for an approved event.
A product has these fields:
- Stock Quantity — how many units you have.
- SKU — your own item code, for your records.
- Weight (oz) — the item weight.
- Requires Shipping — turn this on if the item ships.
You can also bring products in from Square or Shopify (see imported products) or from a file with Import products from a file on the Products page.
